Was Benner's comment made in a positive way or a negative one? As I read Paul, I come to the conclusion that our faith is based on an event. On history. On who Christ IS and what he DID, regardless of whether I FEEL that it's true. I could make Benner's comment in a very positive way.
Luther has been paraphrased a lot to say that "God doesn't our your good works, your neighbor does." I really like that.
Ken...If you ever get a chance check out pages 38-40 of "The Gift of Being Yourself"
Benner is talking about experiencing the person of Christ by meditating & entering into the life of Christ.
Thanks for the link! Going to have to ponder that one for a while.
